[NU Sports] VA Girl's Death could affect Lacrosse Cats

> ESPN is reporting that both Virginia Lacrosse teams met yesterday and
discussed possibly not playing in their respective NCAA tournaments 

I kind of thought that might be the way they end up going. It's just hard to imagine being in any kind of shape to play meaningful games without any time to process things a bit.

I was really stunned to read the news on laxpower yesterday, having been at the game Friday night watching the Cats come back to beat Virginia. According to the stat box, Love played in the game as a sub. A fair number of Virginia parents and fans were on hand. 

I think of all of us in attendance would have assumed that the worst thing that could happen to any of the players on the field would be to lose a hard-fought game. Sobering to realize that something much worse has happened. 

A very, very sad story.
