Rookie QB Mike Kafka showed nice touch on short passes and dump-offs but couldn’t connect
deep. On one attempt, he overthrew a receiver down the right sideline and out of bounds.
On another sideline bomb, his underthrown pass was picked off by third-team CB David
Pender, an undrafted rookie.
