[NU Sports] Big Ten Expaonsion

Maryland has a deep deep attachment to beating Duke, NC and NC State in roundball and they
have world class LaCrosse (men and Women) and Field Hockey.

They would give us an entre to one of the areas with a lot of NU Alums, Washington DC.

However, I think the roundball attachment to the ACC would over ride the chance to be a
power in the Big whatever.

Maryland? Really? I do not think they would leave the ACC. Just don't think
it would happen. They certainly would compete in basketball and Lacrosse.
But I am not seeing what they would really bring to the table? And they are
ACC. It is Duke and North Carolina...I would love to bring them in, because
we could see some real football around here...but I just don't see it
happening. And I doubt they bring in 22 million dollars a year to our
conference?
