Sure hope they're right.:) I think an NIT run could be a good springboard for next year ... scratch that, for THE year!

Kinda surprising the Illini's bubble burst -- the RPI killed them along with a continuing lack of respect for the Big Ten (ACC gets six, Big Ten gets five???).
Not sure what kind of noise we'll make in the tourney. Our champ (OSU) gets stuck in the toughest region (while the ACC champ, Dook, gets a pretty cushy road to Indy) ... MSU and Purdue are banged up ... and our darkhorse (Wisky because of their style of play) doesn't even get home games in Milwaukee as a top four seed (they go for Pitt instead???) and has the second toughest region with underseeded Temple and Kentucky in the way. Good to see Minny get in, though, with their run at the end.

Ah, interesting thought ... what sucks more in college sports, a 96-team NCAA field or the B(C)S. I'd still side with the overall suckiness of the B(C)S because while the diluted NCAA field would allow more teams than necessary in, that's preferable to excluding teams who have deserved a title shot, which the B(C)S has done pretty much every year. I think the only years they had the two best teams playing for the title were Miami/OSU and USC/Texas.
GO CATS!!!
