Even NU's site blew it on that - - http://nusports.cstv.com/genrel/hinton_chris00.html - - should say "tied for highest spot..." :)

Difference between Graham and Hinton is that Graham didn't go straight to NFL, serving in military and then playing in upstart All-America Football Conference (and also played pro basketball).  Of course, the Browns eventually entered & dominated the NFL.

Otto Graham was also fourth overall in 1944. Each of the first six first-round draftees from NU went in the top eleven.
