Firstly, we aren't a 20-win team yet.

Secondly, why would they be "stupid" to pass us up? At best we'd be on 
the road against a high seed, so where is the evidence that Northwestern 
would be a high ticket draw at (for example) UAB or Arizona State?

Last year the NIT didn't take Vanderbilt, a 19-12 team with an RPI of 
95. Our RPI, with the same record, is currently 117. In reality, the NIT 
would have to pass on a whole lot of stronger teams just to get to us, 
so "passing on NU" is actually stating it backwards.

Let's just see if we can even win the first round Big Ten game before 
worrying about anything else.
