[NU Sports] NU's football bang for the buck ...

The Sun-Times has been running a series all week, starting last
Sunday, by Rick Telander delving into the whole issue of traumatic
brain injury, specifically going back and visiting his teammates on
the 68-70 teams and seeing how they have been affected.  It's not a
pretty picture.

In one conversation with one of the leading researchers on the topic,
she had examined the brain of an 18 year old with  traumatic brain
injury from repitive hits.  Scary stuff.  I recommend the series to
you.  I'm not anywhere near my computer so no link, sorry.
