If this were the Huskers of the early '90s, he may be right, but even though they're good again in Huskerland, I think they're on par with Iowa and Wisconsin. We've fared pretty well against those two REAL rivals recently. I'm sure the awe of Memorial Stadium's sea of red will intimidate some at first, but we'll get used to it.
Remember that PSU was supposed to dominate the "weak" Big Ten as well. They've done well, but have hardly dominated. Meanwhile their other sports have grown (would they even have the Bryce Jordan Center had they not joined the Big Ten???) and their academic rep has soared.
Like you said, think positive! On that list I sent yesterday, the only schools who would not have made a title game in the last decade were Minny, Indiana and MSU -- which is the same Rose Bowl drought list since PSU joined in 1993 (and beyond). So it's not UNL's fault or PSU's fault.
