Maureen's grandparents are in the kansas-side of Kansas City which is a 2 1/2 drive from Lincoln.
I already thought about doing the Lincoln Marathon in May and probably will in 2011 wearing a ton of NU purple.
For us the roadtrip(mostly plane) will allow us to see her near-90yo grandparents more frequently.
We have not made it to happy valley due to the travel considerations.
This year will be seeing my sister in St. Paul for the new goofer stadium. Did anybody hear Glen Mason's comment about Minnesota having no chance to win the big ten with Nebraska in the division? Be positive.

I havent seen this mentioned, but does anybody want to venture to Lincoln 4
times every 8 years ? I already dislike the Minneapolis trip, but the
Lincoln trip is already shaping up like a long slog across a dull state for a
not very enjoyable afternoon.

Any thoughts ?

ESPN is now reporting Nebraska's move as well. Announcement set for
tomorrow.

The Big XII is toast.
The Big East is next.

We'll see if Mizzou and KU come knocking as well.

But for right now, it appears we have 12 members, that means a final
football weekend of ...

- Michigan v. Ohio State
- Penn State v. Michigan State
- Indiana v. Purdue
- Northwestern v. Ill-noise
- Minnesota v. Wisconsin
- Iowa v. Nebraska

... followed by a title game in Indy to follow. Not too shabby!

And until Michigan dumps RichRod, er, "returns to glory," the balance of
power would actually be in the west with the Huskers, Hawkeyes and Badgers.

GO CATS!!!
