The Omaha Airport, Eppley Field, is part of Nebraska, but due to a shift
in the Missouri river in 1877, the airport is surrounded by Iowa on 
three sides.  In an 1893 Supreme Court decision, the land where nearby 
Carter Lake IA is located was ruled to remain part of Iowa even though 
it is west of the current flow of the Missouri river.

BTW, some years ago NBC ran a news magazine story called "If it is red, 
it will sell in Nebraska".  In it, several national retailers acknowledged 
that if they have an excess inventory of clothing in red, they will 
ship it to their Nebraska stores, where it will sell handily.
