[NU Sports] A sign of respect?

Those are big ifs you mention. Losing a drafted QB (for only the 4th ? time in our history) tells you how much of our success was likely due to kafka. While I have my usually high hopes I also have it tempered with a pessimistc view of a rebuilding year at 7-5(helped by a weak pre season schedule)

Of course I would have given my left you know what to have gone 7-5 when I was a student in the late 70s

I took my annual trip to borders to read the college football magazines and
all 3 had us around #7 in the BT, but the analysis showed that only OSU,
Wisky, and Iowa were really ranked ahead and that if Persa and Arby can step
up we may be better than predicted. We have a pretty easy early schedule
so hopefully we go into November with 6 or 7 wins and finish 9-3 or 10-2. I
used to think a year when we do not play Michigan was good but I wish they
were there instead of Wisky.
