[NU Sports] Kevin Coble: done

What a disappointment for him, NU basketball, and us fans. It's clear that
NU had a great chance to make the tourney next season with him coming back.
There is still a chance, but it is much smaller without him (this year's
team made a solid run without him and will get Jeff Ryan back).

Reading between the lines of his statement, it sounds like the foot rehab
will just take longer than expected and he either wouldn't be able to play
at all or much of this season, which would extinguish his eligibility no
matter what. It also sounds like he decided to stick with the rehab to
fully heal his foot instead of risking further injury by rushing back. I
can't fault him for that - and he'll also complete his NU degree.
