[NU Sports] George Steinbrenner dies

George Steinbrenner, assistant NU football coach from 1955-56, died today at the age of 80.  He was better known as the owner of the NY Yankees.

Everyone has probably seen this news by now, but in speaking with a fellow NU fan in my office today, I learned that not everyone is aware of Steinbrenner's NU connection.  The Chicago Tribune has a picture up of him in his NU days:
