As with all experiments, there is some risk because the outcome is
uncertain. Also pretty much the nature of the beast when you are trying
to promote something as a unique event.

The good news is that our AD is willing to take some risk in an effort
to increase the visibility of the program in a large media market.

If we want to see change, we also have to develop some tolerance for
failure because not everything new thing he tries is going to work.

Subject: [NU Sports] Wrigley game officially moved to 2:30 pm

NU officially announced yesterday that the Wrigley game will start at
2:30 (instead of 11:00). Although this should help boost attendance,
the game will now be televised on ESPNU (instead of ESPN or ESPN2).
So we won't get the same level of TV exposure out of the deal. I think
Jim Phillips might be getting a little concerned about selling enough
tickets to the game, so they're happy to do whatever it will take to
increase attendance even if it means less TV exposure.
