It's sad to see how far the Cash Buys Stature network has fallen.

Palley, Friendly, Murrow, and Cronkite built a network that valued the
public trust and ethical journalism.  

Walter Cronkite was one of my heroes because of his Vietnam and
Watergate reporting.  One of the highpoints of my time at NU was getting
the opportunity to meet him when he came to talk.

It's ironic that most of today's broadcasters are jokes and that a
comedian, John Stuart, is the only one who appears to understand the
responsibility of broadcasters to speak truth to power.
