[NU Sports] Disheartening collapse

14-2 Wisc run to end the game - - too much Hughes and too many second shots.
Shame that on a night that Nash was so sharp on offense, the other guys weren't, for the most part. Wisconsin played some good defense - - frustrating Crawford/Shurna/Thompson/Mirkovic at times - - but Cats surely let an opportunity slip.
The disappointing thing is also the encouraging thing, I guess - - that 1-3 in the Big Ten could've been 3-1 (only MSU wasn't winnable). Cats showed great ability to finish in the non-conference games and now need to find it again...with Purdue, a very tough task, next and then a long way to go.
Go Cats!

I agree, tough loss and winnable game.
However, I think this one falls more into the category of Wisconsin winning it (well, HUGHES winning it) than NU losing it. He was just unstoppable on that end run.
No time to mope, though, with Purdue coming in, angry about being on a losing streak. Man, that's a brutal early schedule! Losing home games really hurts, even if MSU and Wisky are solid teams.
C'mon Cats!

PS - It was great to see a purple bowl on TV! I heard the Wisconsin fans, but when they had wide shots of the court and such, the lower bowl looked to be about all purple and the NU crowd was nice and loud as well. Gotta send 'em home happy next time!
