[NU Sports] Fiesta Bowl

An interesting game - nice to see a struggle between two defenses in bowl games for once.
I think a lot of people underrated Boise's defense -- people forgot that they were the only team outside of OSU to shut down the Quack Attack this year. TCU did a nice job shutting down Boise's offense. It just came down to a perfectly timed trick play call.
It was also impressive how many fans Boise brought. Half that stadium was a bright orange, and TCU packed people in as well. It's not their fault no one will schedule them - well done, Broncos!
Still not too big on the B(C)S matching the two "mid majors" up, though. Seemed like a cop-out so we didn't have both Boise and TCU beating up the big boys like Utah did with Bama last year and Boise did with OU in 2007. I guess that would have led to more cries for a playoff to give these guys the shots at the title that they deserve.
Hope Iowa can use the Big Ten plan of ball control and defense to win tonight and make it a really strong season for the league.
Go Big Ten!
GO CATS!!!
