I'll give ya two more words why: Alex Smith

St. Sanctimonious' offense has worked wonders at BGSU, Utah and Florida ... but it doesn't seem to be a good one for a pro quarterback to work in (which leaves an interesting dilemma for top HS QB prospects -- work for the pros, or work for college titles with the boatloads of talent surrounding you in the Swamp?).

It's just hard to see Tebow making it as a QB in the pros -- great leader, great kid ... but nothing he's shown at he senior games and such has eased the doubts (they've made them swell all the more).

The Gator-style spread may be like Nebraska a couple decades ago -- gritty QBs who are in the running for titles, but who need to change positions to have a shot in the NFL.

On the flip side, our spread really changed this year from a run-first one to a more Purdue-style pass-first one (more by necessity of a lack of running game) ... but that's helped Kafka a lot and hopefully he can make it like that wonderfully underrated former Boilermaker QB did down in New Orleans!:)
