Chuck,

There are plenty of reasons to hate ND and you've highlighted a few. But do you really think that academics tops athletic interests at all of the current Big Ten schools? I really doubt it, especially at Ohio State. 

If Notre Dame were to join the Big Ten in the next three years, I think they can avoid the obsolescence you are referring to.

- The Big Ten has no room for an 'institution' where athletic interests can veto academic interests.
