[NU Sports] Texas In The Big 10?

Not wishing to put anti-Nixon Race hatred into the board.....

Texas alums figure that they already have their own oil wells, state capital, and
republic.

What do they need with a bunch of pointy headed nawthunauhs except as possible opponents
as they sweep to their annual birthright as #1?

I can see the Big 10 and the Chicago Trib floating the idea, but has anyone asked the
Dallas Morning News, or Houston Chronicle or even better, the Austin whatever it is called
- Statesman? I'm surprised we haven't heard the scream from the south west already. It was
bad enough when the Trib stole Bayless.

As I wait in Florida to go to a funeral in Chicago let me explain how  
iconoclastic Texas is and how joining a Yankee conference would cause a revolt.  
Sure part of the big 12 is north but it ain't Ohio.
