I dunno - the Illini have a good record in Madison under Weber, but both wins are indeed surprising because they were road ones.

The league is pretty darn good and the top five seem to be tourney locks at this point -- I agree that it helps our wins over Purdue and Illinois look better. Hopefully it gets Ill-noise in the top 25 so the league has five ranked teams and our RPI rises as well.

Don't think it does too much for our tourney fate, though - we control that with our remaining schedule. Take care of business and we'll be fine. Minny getting big wins would hurt more than the Illini.

Should be a heck of a February leading up to the league tournament!

PS - One more thing it shows is that Bruce Weber is one heck of a coach. He can't recruit like Bill Self and is having trouble locking down the Chicago pipeline to Champaign, but it's tough to find a coach who gets more out of his players year after year. The whole league is loaded with some great talent on the coaching sidelines right now. One of the reasons for the resurgence.
