I think that sums it up pretty well. 

I personally don't care a whole lot either way, but I'm guessing the NCAA's answers will be all about the dollars. 

It is a bit of a shame to see the NIT go away. It was a fun place to go for all the decent teams excluded from the NCAA field due to all the minor conference automatic qualifiers. Again, though, once the NCAA field went to 64, the bar for entering the NIT was pretty low. 

I guess my answer to the questions would be to drop the NCAA tourney back to 32, and give us a competitive NIT for the good teams that didn't make the cut.
