[NU Sports] Thoughts on St. John's game

OK, we aren't going to undefeated. As Hawk would say, cancel the press
conference.

We need Shurna AND Juice to have good games to win.

On some nights Crawford can take up some of the slack.

So if teams can shut down Juice, or send him to the bench with foul
trouble, we are going to struggle. 11-37 in the second half is a good
description of struggle. Shurna still got 28, but he couldn't do it all
by himself. If we sank just 7 more shots to raise the second half to 50%
and a few of those were 3's, we would have won the game even with our
defensive struggles.

The rest is to some degree noise level only because it is nothing new.

IMHO, whether we go to the dance this year or not will depend on how
well Shurna and Juice play every night, or if you are a glass half empty
person, how well other teams defend Shurna and Juice.

Jeff

Mr. Kaplan (and his most excellent family) and I took in the debacle
last
night together.

1. Our inside presence (or lack thereof) was glaring.

2. St. John's shot 80 percent from the floor in the second half. No one
beats anyone when said anyone shoots 80 percent.

3. Of course 80 percent could relate to factor (1) above.

4. Discuss.

5. Blue books will be collected at the end of the proctored period.
Please
abide by all rules of the honor code. That is all.

Go Wildcats!
