up being referred to in its rightful abbreviated form of NU simply
because the new kid on the block with a lesser claim has been calling

Yes, but WHY do they have "CU" and "KU" in their logos? I agree with
Mike
V.--it's weird. The best guess I have is that the schools didn't want
"UN"
or "UC"/"UK"...yet there are other "UC"s and "UK"s out there. The most
important thing is that Northwestern should not have to give up being
referred to in its rightful abbreviated form of NU simply because the
new
kid on the block with a lesser claim has been calling itself that too.
I
would hate to see expansion of the use of the bastardized form "NWU" . .
.
we see it too often already.
Like the sign at the Wrigley Field game said: "The real NU welcomes
UN-L to
the Big Ten."
