[NU Sports] Big 10 Network Bowl Selection Show

Paul and List Friends,

   While driving through Dallas on the way home to Pennsylvania after getting thrashed by UNL in the Alamo Bowl, we drove through a nasty ice storm...on New Year's Day.  Let's review....1) Lose 63-17 2) start out 26 hour drive in ice storm.   That was one long-assed drive!
   The review on BTN suggested that the time off will help Watkins and our defense; I guess it couldn't hurt!  Texas Tech should be the favorite, but I'm sure our boys will do better against a pass oriented team like Tech than Leshore and the 3 headed monster at Wisconsin. For the most part, our pass defense has been pretty good;  Vince Browne needs to live in Tech's backfield.
   The pain from the last two weeks has subsided for this Cats fan.  Starting to look forward to our bowl!

They are 40% through the BTN's Bowl Selection Show.? They apparently are 

interviewing each coach.? So far BILE-lema (my new pun nickname gang) and 

Tressel have been on, with Dantonio on deck.? So Coach Fitz should appear some 

time around 20 minutes after the hour.



The HC of NU will be in NYC tomorrow night at "Meet Coach Fitz Night".? I am 

looking forward to being there and asking Fitz how he likes Dallas in January.
