Nice play on the old Barnumism...

The last time I went out to spring practice, I got to walk off out of the practice
facility in a group of guys with Coach Walker. 

One of the last things he said to the group was that he was "tired of only winning 6
games." RW kinda knew who I was - I think he was trying to put a final spin on whatever
story we ran on Scout. Of course I used it. (and still do)

I think that happened the spring before he died suddenly - you could tell that he really
wanted to take the next step, too bad he had to leave it to Fitz, his and Barnett's
protégé to make it happen.

By the cry of "Why Randy Why" that used to echo on the Cat Chat during the Game was always
there - I think one of the guys used to log in as WhyRandyWhy?

Several of the chatters used to call for the head of the coordinators also - I'm sure
we're glad that none of the coaches ever saw the transcript of the chat.

I remember it well. 

And there were calls for Randy Walker to be fired (all he did was turn NU into a 
regular 6 or 7 game winner and leave Fitz with a program in position to take the 
next step). Heck, I think a few people around here were questioning whether Fitz 
had what it takes after just one year on the job. 

It just goes to show that some of the fans are morons all of the time, and all 
of us fans are morons at least some of the time.
