[NU Sports] Stewart Mandel's Preseason Bowl Predictions

Interesting picks (Georgia over Florida in the SEC??) - I had forgotten about the Texas Bowl and just thought the Big Ten was in Dallas. Oh well, Texas two-step I guess. Although as my one prof at NU stated:

"Houston is the 4th largest city in America and the 4,000th most interesting city in America."

I'd love the all-purple Cats matchup, but rather see it in the Valley of the Sun.

UConn in the Fiesta just looks wrong ... as does Boise State in Pasadena.

Have I mentioned that the new Rose Bowl rule is an affront to human existence almost as egregious as the B(C)S? This will be the lowest attendance at the Rose Bowl (and lowest ratings) since that year they tried to tinker and kept Iowa out in favor of Oklahoma against Wazzu.

Fun to see the picks, polls and more - it means the season is CLOSE!
