I agree, don' count out Persa. Even after the first two games last year
(when NU insistently ran the ball most of the time) people were still unsure
of Persa. Dan has the talent and has some playing time under his belt
(including time on special teams 2 years ago just so he could get on the
field), and he has the leadership ability (he was just named a team
captain). Oh, and he's strong (won the offseason strength award for the
entire team) and fast. Finally, don't forget that the OL in front of him
should be improved.
Yes, he has to prove it in live action, but I think QB will be a pretty
strong position for NU this season.
