As usual, fellow list members gave me much insight to section 107-109; and whadda ya know? A list member wasn't using his tickets for the Purdue game, so I'll be sitting on the "home" side near NUMB. It's been 5 years since I've been to Evanston so I'm stoked; 1st time at Ryan at night for this long time Wildcast.
Comment on the practice at Great Lakes: terrific idea. I take special pride in our Cats at Great Lakes, as I went through boot camp there in '81. When I graduated, my Dad KNEW where I wanted to go: Dyche Stadium to see our beloved Cats. Utah mashed us pretty good, but its the first place we went after graduating Saturday morning.
In 1995 I went to the big win vs. Iowa in the snow (when Fitz broke his leg), and I was recounting that game to my wife as we stepped off the L from our hotel in town. I was telling her how happy I was to be with my Dad right after graduating boot camp, but the only play we had to cheer about was a long gainer right before half time (not even a touch down if my memory serves me); any way, a rugged, handsome dude behind me interrupted me and said "I caught that pass!"
It was Dave Bahoric, a WR in the Dark Ages (1st year on Dennis Green?). We had a nice talk from the Central St. L to the stadium; he's from my state (Johnstown, Pa.) and was excited for the '95 Cats as we all were. He told me that he spoke often with his former teammates , and they all agreed that the 95 team took some sting off the losses they and other Dark Agers incurred.
Getting back to Great Lakes: Over 40,000 attend boot camp/training there on an annual basis. Getting a few of them to take a short train ride would be terrific.

Thanks for letting me reminisce! GO CATS!!! Eric

I've sat in 108 a few times, including the last time Purdue came to our stadium.

There are plenty of NU season ticket holders in that section. It's actually a

great view, sitting across from the main stands. - Jim B.

members think about sections 107 and 108. They are awesome 40 to 40 yard line

seats, but is located on the "visitor's side". On TV there looks to be a lot of

purple. I don't want to sit in a large group of Purdue fans in my own stadium.

Any thoughts?
