Unfortunately, that is very unlikely to happen this year as the Rose Bowl
will be obligated to take a qualified non BCS conference team if one of its
anchor conferences sends a team to the BCS title game (this rule only
applies once over the next 4 seasons). This is due to the fact that other
BCS bowls (Fiesta, Sugar) have been forced into taking non BCS conference
members during the last 4 year cycle and they wanted to even things out.  It
is possible that this could happen if no non-BCS conference members end up
in the Top 12 of the BCS standings, but that is unlikely, especially with
Boise State starting so high and playing such an easy schedule.
