>From the NU Ticket website:

NORTHWESTERN VS ILLINOIS @ WRIGLEY
FIELDThe November 20th game vs Illinois is NOT part of your season ticket package. Season Ticket Holders have the
opportunity to purchase one (1) ticket for each season ticket held to
the Northwestern - Illinois game at Wrigley Field. All tickets will be
allocated according to the Wildcat Priority Point System. If you desire to sit with another season ticket holder, please make sure EACH
PARTY indicates that on all respective applications. Patrons who
request to sit together will be assigned according to the member with
the LOWEST number of priority points. Tickets for the Northwestern -
Illinois game are $150, $125, $100, $75 and $50. There are limited
quantities in each price level. If a price level is exhausted, you will automatically be assigned the next price down and refunded the
difference.

Why wouldn't they allow season ticket holders to buy as many as they wanted, but guarantee only your season ticket allotment? I seriously doubt they would sell 40,000 tickets just to season ticket holders, but if they did - wouldn't that be GREAT???

I'm surprised I'm apparently the first to comment on this. The Wrigley Field game is official.

But what's really interesting is how to get tickets.

First, a ticket to NU Football at Wrigley Field will NOT be included with a season ticket.

Second, you MUST, however, be a season ticket holder in order to buy a ticket to NU Football at Wrigley Field.

Third, ticket prices will range from $50 to $150. That's kind of steep, if you ask me. They say that tickets will be assigned by priority points. But that's bogus. They'll first be assigned by the amount you're willing to spend. And then by priority points. I have excellent seats at Ryan Field. I'm not sure I'm willing to pay more than $50 for NU Football at Wrigley Field, but that will relegate me to the upper deck, endzone, I'm sure.

Fourth, I saw in the Tribune "breaking news" report that NU will control 30,000 of the 40,000 tickets. Not clear what that means. Who's going to control the remaining tickets? Illinois? The Cubs, maybe? 10,000 seats is more than the normal away-team allotment for Ryan Field.

At first I thought the requirement to purchase season tickets was a brilliant marketing move until I saw that the Wrigley ticket isn't included with the season ticket AND the price for the Wrigley ticket is really high.

It will take a while to process all of this information.
