The more interesting scenario in a Super 64 world would be if the schools decided to break ties with the NCAA. That would mean they'd have to play 'within the family' for the non-conference games, but it would free them from all of the ridiculous NCAA rules. That's at least 15 years off in the future, but if the right conferences and TV contracts are formed, I wouldn't rule it out.

Nice to hear Texas favors us over the SEC. :)

Still don't understand their fascination with the Pac 10 ... both in distance (Austin to Seattle???) and in revenue deals/prestige.

Oh well, something tells me that there's about to be a bunch of ripples created into the B(C)S universe. I'm trying to remember back ... was it Florida State or Penn State who jumped from the land of independents first?
