lacrosse is undefeated this year (12-0) and they have a five year string of
National Championships! 

Great game last night on the lakefront against Johns Hopkins.  The Cats offense was in neutral the entire first half, and they actually trailed at halftime 3-2. The Hopkins goalie was playing brilliantly (which continued all night).

Then the "Hiller effect" kicked in. Anytime KAH and her staff get some time to make adjustments, whether by taking a time out or at halftime, good things always happen for NU.

In this case, they sort of abandoned the motion/passing offense in favor of a much more aggressive one-on-one attack, with players going straight at the goal from out front. That got them some quick goals, which opened up the rest of the offense. Coupled with several magnitudes more intensity on defense and on loose balls, that was enough to pull out a fairly comfortable win out of a difficult situation. Good crowd on hand, and things got pretty enthusiastic during that second half run.

Sets things up nicely for a big contents tomorrow.
