[NU Sports] Blast!

Just woke up - drove back to New Jersey at 3:00 AM. Here is my brief report:

(1) Nice drive from Central Jersey to Syracuse. The fall foliage however, is not showing yet. Saw plenty of purple flowers on the way - thought it was good omen.
(2) The Syracuse fans were generally nice before and especially after the game because we lost.
(3) The dome was not hot inside and actually comfortable.
(4) NU came out flat, down 0-17 in the first quarter, ouch. Where's our defense? I thought defense is supposed to be the strength of this year's team.
(5) I am not an expert, but I think Kafka played very well. I don't blamed the last interception that lost the game. I blamed the early deficit of 0-17. The miss PAT was hugh as it changed the complexity of the game. I noticed many starters were not in the game (injuries?).
(6) You should be all proud of our student-athletes. They never gave up and fought back.
(7) It was an exciting game. The NU alumni section was loud, many pieces of fight song were sung.
(8) Althought we lost, I got the feeling that we have a good team. I am sure Coach Fritz will put it all together next week.
