[NU Sports] Ugh, injuries

Just for  the record Gentlemen .. I don't fret too much Saturday's game and am very excited about the prospects.  Of course you never know what might happen....but I for one believe we will beat SYR handily.
The defense will get serious,  and the combination of last year's Kafka , and change up that is Persa will far outshine Paulas.  And I'm as impressed with Beef n Chedder, Schmidt and Concannon as I am with Simmons.  Smith can handle returns.
This week the Wildcats turn it on.

Not good news on the injury front, especially after losing so many guys lastseason (although NU did have a lot of backups who stepped up on the way to 9wins).
McManis has had a hamstring issue since camp and has been limited and washeld out last week (and we saw EMU pick on what was his side a lot).  Vaughncame out in the 4th quarter, which meant redshirt freshman Demetrius Dugaris the CB - which won't be good against a team with some talent at the WRposition like Syracuse.
And despite having an RB by committee, losing your most experienced runneris never good, hopefully Simmons can see the field Saturday (he's alsopretty solid on kickoff returns).
