[NU Sports] Where do the Bands Sit?

Here are the ones that I know of (I'm not positive about a few of these but
I'll do my best):
Michigan - sit opposite of the student section (which actually curves around
the northwest corner of the stadium) on the northeast side at around the
goal line. The opposing band is located on bleachers at the field level on
the southeast side at around the 10 yard line (NUMB visited in 2004 and
2008).
Ohio State - sits in the south end zone, with the student section directly
behind them.
Penn State - I think they sit in the end zone directly adjoining the student
section (which is in the southeast corner).
Wisconsin - is on field level in the end zone directly below the student
section (north end).
Minnesota - used to sit in the end zone in the Metrodome; not sure where
they're at in the new stadium.
Illinois - sit in the end zone in the newly constructed north end zone
section, below the scoreboard. The student section is directly above them.
The opposing band sits at about the 10 yard line in the southeast corner
(NUMB visited in 2007).
Iowa - I believe they sit in the south end zone, but I'm not positive. I
know that when NUMB visited in 2000 we sat in the north end zone.
Indiana - I believe they sit directly below the student section on the
southeast side at about the 20 yard line, similar to NUMB. When NUMB last
visited we sat in the south end zone (which has now been reconstructed).
Purdue - I don't remember very well where they sat but I think it was the
north end zone (bowl portion). NUMB sat in the south end zone bleachers.
Michigan State - Don't remember them very well, either, but I think they sit
on the west side at one of the ends.
I will check into the ones that I'm not sure about. Assuming this concerns
being able to better hear NUMB relative to other Big Ten bands, note that
other schools don't have as pronounced of a "home side" (west stands) which
also contain the band. Also, Ryan Field is one of the most "open" Big Ten
stadiums - most of the others are basically fully enclosed, helping to keep
the sound in the stadium. And, of course, with the other bands being larger
that also helps the sound in the stands (note that OSU and Michigan have
portions of the band that don't march but play in the stands).
