[NU Sports] Yesterday's video review

The replay showed that the EMU player either hit Smith or was in his way
sufficiently to call a penalty for interfering with a fair catch but as
Michael points out, you can't call a penalty on a replay. I imagine that
the reason the play was disallowed was that the booth had signallled it was
reviewing the play before the ball was put into play while the line judge
put the ball down and the play was run. The ref then started over after the
booth told him it was OK. Totally in sync with one of the worst officiated
games I have seen in some time - I think these officials must have been Big
East officials (easily the worst in major college football, a word of
warning for next week, in a previous life.
