AND they gave the Trojans seven to start the game!

It's amazing to think about how big of an advantage a normal coach would have had in that game.

It's not often that you hold SC to only two legit drives all game (both at the end of the half when they were playing not to lose on D) ... you better take advantage of that and win.

I just want the chuckleheads to shut up.:) The Big XII drops a top 5 team two weeks in a row to non-BCS foes and the SEC gets waxed in their few challenging out-of-league matchups recently (UCLA even wins AT Rocky Top!) ... but they still walk on water and get 10-2 teams in the title game or 5-loss teams in the top 25.

Seriously, though, until we win back that respect, it hurts everyone else in the league. Right now we have two teams ranked (Michigan may sneak in next week) - we should have 4-5. That gives us fewer chances to get a big win and move up ourselves. That gives us fewer contenders for B(C)S bowl slots and more money as a league. That weakens our TV placement negotiations.

Really, it's just a big overreaction ... it's not like OSU's losing to division II teams here, and most of those games were road games ... but the league needs to step up and win these showcase games for all of us to get that respect back. And we need to smack Notre Dame down early and often. Michigan did their part, now Sparty needs to wake up and do the same in South Bend next week.

GO CATS!!!
