Remember back when Randy Walker came in and shook things up in Evanston?
Don't you guys remember all of the whining and crying as RW shook the tree
to see who would fall and who would hang on and stay? And there were
allegations of impropriety surrounding the summer workouts prior to
Rashidi's sad end.
I can remember reading (and hearing) reports that players were in near
revolt (for NU) over some of the coaches' attitudes about playing intensity,
etc.
Every time a new coach come in and changes something, the players who were
recruited for the old system start to whine and cry because they don't know
how to play in the new setup. But football is football, you still have to
block, run and tackle.
Michigan was a top team, but never one to reach the very top. Can Rod do it?
Won't know until he gets his ducks lined up, but every time you sit a
starter today, it seems that the grumbling is on the web and in the papers
within minutes.

Exactly - this is just one of several reports that have come from Ann Arbor
during his brief tenure. It may not be Calapari-esqe in nature, but for a
place like Michigan football, this is bad.
Whether we like Michigan or not, their football (not basketball) program has
had a reputation similar to IU basketball under Bob Knight -- winners who
were clean and took pride in winning the right way. Moeller tarnished that a
bit off the field personally and was let go. Carr was more in the
Schembechler tradition.
So for a new coach to come in and change everything about this tradition
rich program and then get into some NCAA heat on top of it while suffering a
losing record may be too much. RichRod better get rid of this fast and not
let it become a season-long story or the already daunting task of beating
Notre Dame and OSU might not even be enough to save his job.
GO CATS!!!
