There is absolutely no reason to schedule a tough non conference game in the current B(C)S system.

Ohio State has done more than its share by scheduling one mega-game with Texas or USC each season. Michigan has Notre Dame (though these powers have had their struggles) and PSU usually gets one as well (Miami and ND in the past, Alabama in the future).

That's more than most major conference teams do. The SEC won't even tiptoe outside of their comfy humid confines unless they have a big G on their helmets ... USC has to because the idiot voters never give the west coast credit and drop SC 10 spots after a loss that only drops an SEC team 1 spot ... Texas has done so on and off, but usually the Horns and OU just play for the Red River Rivalry game.

That's the way it is.

It makes absolutely no sense for NU to schedule anything other than what we're scheduling.

Our schedule is a bit easier this year with Michigan and Ohio State off of it, but we still play games at Iowa City and East Lansing and at home against PSU and Wisconsin.

Like I said, we've been left out with six wins before - I will have absolutely no problems if we get to six wins and take the bowl invite.

GO CATS!!!
