Here's the lineup for week nine. Picks due by Saturday ...
PIGSKIN PICKS – WEEK NINE
One one hand, I’m thrilled that the Cats and Saints showed that they can come back from 28-3 and 24-3 deficits respectively last week … on the other hand, THAT WAS NOT FUN (well, until the end at least)! ☺
It’s not a deep week in terms of big games, and the Big Ten is saving the rest of their mega-matchups for November, but we have what is essentially a battle for the Pac 10 title in Eugene and one for the Big XII title in Stillwater.
No Thursday night game, so get the picks in by kickoff Saturday!

MY PICKS
========
* MICHIGAN 41, Illinois 27 – You get the feeling Illinois is going to sneak out one with their talent, but I just can’t pick it until I see it.
* IOWA 24, Indiana 9 – The Hawkeyes have an early letdown at home, but pull away in the second half.
* MINNESOTA 27, Michigan State 21 – The road to Tempe begins here! A big game for bowl pecking order, but not much else – go with the home team.
* WISCONSIN 31, Purdue 23 – Will the “New Hope Brigade” play away from Ross-Ade? Could be a dangerous game for Bucky, but at home they pull it out.
* OHIO STATE 37, New Mexico State 7 – I guess the Bucks can take this week off with a brutal November schedule ahead.
* FLORIDA 45, Georgia 17 – Remember when this used to be a good game?
* TEXAS 28, Oklahoma State 17 – A week ago … or with White back … I might like the Cowpoke upset at home, but McCoy and the Horns see Pasadena in front of them and aren’t going to let it slip away on the road this year.
* USC 47, Oregon 34 – Should be a fun shootout under the lights in Autzen – the Ducks have come a long way since Boise State and I’m cheering for them, but until proven otherwise, SC is king of the west.
* SOUTH CAROLINA 16, Tennessee 9 – Could be an upset here, but Kiffin’s no Spurrier yet, and the ole’ ball coach loves beating up on the Vols.
* CENTRAL MICHIGAN 35, Boston College 31 – The Chippewas certainly deserve just as much top 25 consideration as “we gave up a bazillion points to UTEP” Houston or “we lost at sucky sucky NC State” Pitt – they get some measure of respect with another big road win over a BCS conference team here.
And off the board …
* PENN STATE 34, Northwestern 17 – The Cats can’t dig an early hole this week, as the Lions are starting to click on offense. PSU might be looking ahead to OSU, but the Lions pull away after halftime.
Picks in by Saturday kickoff!
