[NU Sports] QB change possible ?

I think what Fitz was getting at in that quote is the possibility to use
Persa in a "Wildcat" formation equivalent in the red zone, which we've
actually seen a few times this year (although it typically gains a couple
yards and he's pulled for Kafka).
What's interesting is that NU's red zone production has actually been pretty
good this year (88% scoring rate, or 23/26) which bumps up to 92% when one
considers that one of those red zone trips was at the end of the Towson game
when NU purposely avoided scoring. BUT, the TD rate is only 64%, so I could
understand them wanting to increase that rate.
I think what we've been seeing is a shortcoming of a pass-heavy spread
offense in the red zone, which is that the defenders have much less field to
cover and can put at least one man on most of the receivers down there.
That is really where a team needs a red zone to keep the D honest, and it's
pretty apparent NU hasn't been effective in that area (look at NU getting
stopped at the goal line vs. Purdue).
I doubt we'll see a full-time QB change, but expect Persa to get thrown into
the mix moreso in the red zone to take advantage of his legs (especially
with the RBs being rather ineffective).
