I remember hearing that phase I was only 83 acres and that NU had the ability to essentially double it in the future. This is just a factoid from a former campus tour guide, it does change the uphill battle it would take. Moving the stadium away from mass transit just doesn't make sense. 

Um, which mass transit?  The Foster El stop would be about as close to a 
lakefill stadium as the Central Avenue stop is to Dyche.  I guess the
downtown CNW (or whatever it's called these days) station might be a few 
blocks further away.  

Anybody ever tried to take mass transit to any of the other stadiums
in the conference, or to ANY major college football stadium?
