Agreed.?? BB was a fine quarterback, but we have been 'on-the-job training' OCs for too long now (McGee, anyone ?).? Find a solid, experienced OC (even our old guy at Minnesota), and just grab them away.? Getting an experienced DC from Madison (after they foolishly let him go) did wonders.? Let's find an OC that Fitz and the University like, and wave a lot of money in his face.? College or NFL, just get a guy who can call plays like a master.? One rich alum postpones a month in Majorca, and he could probably cover the cost.
Time was, we had innovative OCs, and other places stole them away from us.? It's time we returned the favor.

would want to go(OC) once he finishes his NFL experiment.
Basanez has a LOT to learn before he's ready to be an OC, at Northwestern
or anywhere else.
