The NU-PSU game is actually listed as ESPN/ESPN2.
I'm not sure how much ticket prices are a factor. For the Towson and Eastern Michigan games, there were plenty of tickets available on StubHub for under $10. Some were going as low as $4. I know this because I'm a season ticket holder who lives in Washington D.C., and I can only go to about three or four home games a year, so this year, for the first time, I tried to unload my extra tix on StubHub. No takers, even at drastically reduced prices.
I realize that not all people interested in going to a game think to check StubHub or other sources on the secondary market. There are probably some fans who go to the NUsports.com website, see the listed ticket prices and are turned off. But there are a significant number of fans who are aware of StubHub, Craigslist, etc., and still, our attendance stinks.
Perhaps you might be able to point to our no-name opponents for the lack of interest. Towson and Eastern Michigan aren't exactly inspiring names to the average Chicagoan sitting around with disposable cash and time. But the flip side of that is that those type of opponents help build our win totals.
