<They didn't speed their rate of play up on that final drive. 11 plays
in 4:19 is 23.5 seconds per play, about the same as their other long drives
today. Of course, that means they didn't slow it down, either.

The important thing was, they took it all the way rather than settle for
yet another red zone field goal. That made a big difference, Purdue
couldn't just settle for a game-winning field goal.>

That is all true, but on that final drive, on one play after a running play
with the clock ticking down and 22 seconds left on the play clock the Cats
snapped the ball. That just seemed dumb. Why not allow the game clock tick
down or at least force Purdue to take one of its time outs? We probably
could have squeezed at least another 30-45 seconds out of that drive by just
using the play clock after the runs. That would have made it far more
difficult for Purdue on that final drive. The Cats seem to want to play high
speed all game. Great win, but good coaching will play to the situation.
