Interesting that NOBODY has picked up on the NU Men's Soccer Team - are they not in the NCAA's
for the 5th time?
They play Tulsa Sunday for the right to play in the final 4.
I'm not a big soccer fan, but this is a big deal for Men's Sports.

Was about to post this score--after seeing "crawl" earlier this evening during Pitt- W.Va.
"Backyard Brawl" telecast (good game, by the way) with NU leading ND 30-20, which had me
wondering if I had dreamt the score.:-)
Wanted to add a nice anecdote from this morning, when I was at Reunion game of my son's travel
soccer team (The boys are all in college now.). Met a Duke grad, who was a friend and former
business associate of one of the other fathers. When I told him I had gone to Northwestern, he
looked at me with respect, and said "You're really building a program (in football)." The word
is getting out that NU has a coach and a plan. It made me feel really good about the future
with Fitz, when Dookies look up to our team. I, of course, lauded their hoops prowess in turn,
but the focus was on pigskin prominence. I also had fun teasing one of my son's soccer mates,
who is a freshman at Michigan, and joking about their last-place showing. My only regret is it
would have felt ten times better if it were OSU in the cellar rather than U Mich.
One week to Bowl Selection Sunday. Can't wait. Assuming we end up in Orlando--unless Hawaii
really dumps the Badgers (even then I have no faith in the Outback people)--I hope that we
Listers who are able to make it to the Champs can plan on some kind of pre-game get-together.
Paul Levinson.

Nash payed well on both sides of the ball, and Martulio chucked in 13 points,
ost in the 2nd hlaf. But Shurna was awesome in both halves.
Maybe we are "getting over Coble". But ND was wretched in their shooting.
till, a great game!
GO CATS!! Eric

hanksgiving weekend upset win for Cats - great to watch. Encouraging signs
at NU will hang tough without Coble. Shurna and Thompson lead the way, but
ey had impressive help.
