and get the impression that Fitz was a bit angry.

"...something we need to get over to eliminate all the naysayers and the negativity toward our program, and obviously to represent the great Big Ten Conference the way we want it to be talked about and represented throughout the nation."

This is just one example.

Question:  Who is the big naysayer?
Answer:  Harbaugh

I believe there is major bad blood between them.  I truly think that the game vs. them in '11 will be ugly assuming Harbaugh is still there.  I think Fitz experiences Harbaugh's whispering campaign in every home he visits and is just plain sick of it.  Recruiting against the rest of the big ten it is easier to contrast between us and them.  If the recruit(and parents) are not interested in academics they are not right for us anyway, but with Stanford it gets muddy.  When it goes beyond weather(SF vs. Chicago) and involves half-truths and disparaging comments it really drags both programs through the mud.

My new goal for Northwestern.  Back to the Rose Bowl before Stanford makes it!
