  Good point, Roy, pointing out that this was RW's seniors.  As far as the game goes, it was clear that Hankwitz wanted to stop the run, as this was the only way we would win.  He was right.
   I'll share a story, for the second time on our list, that certainly bares repeating. I was on a cruise in January, only to become chilled by the fact that this was "The Hawkeye Cruise", an annual event in which the coaches and 200-300 ardent Hawkeye supporters attend.
   Anyway, at poolside, I strike up a converstion with Iowa's LB coach (as well as his wife, who loves Chicago btw) , and I bring up Hankwitz getting canned by Bielema.  The word was that Bielema and Hank were never big fans of each other, and there was a major shouting match during half-time of the 2007 Outback Bowl between Hank and Bielema.
   Suffice to say, our Defensive Co-ordinator must be feeling pretty damn good right about now!  Our defense did fabulous; allowing 24 points today.  
  We're hot;  and with the teams I see on our bowl horizon,  I think we'll finally break through.  And I must confess, I was one of those who said the best we'd be was 6-6 and Detroit; I said that in August and certainly in early October.  Now I'm predicting a rousing Wildcat win in Orlando.
  Good on our team who kept working to get better!    GO CATS!!!          Eric

This was the final year of Randy Walker's recruits.
They did Randy, NU and their new coach Fitz proud.
There were ups and downs, but now it is Pat Fitzgerald's team and the future 
ooks bright.
