Well, as the clocks run down in Ann Arbor and Iowa City, the following trends are surfacing:
1) Both the Wolves and Golden Gophers fall farther behind NU, with Michigan about to drop out of bowl eligibility and the men from Up North about to finish a lame 6-6, which increases our chances for a decent bowl bid, even if we lose today.
2) I just don't see how Rich Rod survives this debacle of a season. He probably will, but they are just an awful team at this point. They are going to finish last in the conference, and who ever could foresee that. I mean, Fitz has made NU into a clearly stronger team that the team that used to own the Big House. And they barely beat Indiana--at home--on a controversial call. With all of their recruiting advantages--pathetic.
3) Tate Forcier has regressed--badly. It's not just the picks; it's the body language, the lack of confidence. Right now, Dan Persa looks like someone with more upside, at least in the immediate future--even if Forcier is more talented--because Persa is improving, not going downhill.
4) Michigan will not beat Buckeyes until Pryor graduates or leaves, whichever comes first.
5) Bucks still not impressive on Offense, but their "D" should give them a real shot in Pasadena.
6) Iowa keeps alive chances for BCS Bowl, but hardly an overwhelming win over Minny.
Now, for the Main Course.
Go 'Cats! Beat Badgers!

P.S.: This game is for bragging rights at Thanksgiving, as my daughter's boyfriend graduated from Madison 2 years ago.:-)
